How long do I have to register my gift?
You need to register your gift before the register by date on your gift registration booklet. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible.
How long does my adoption last?
Your adoption lasts for 12 months from the date of registration.
How long does it take for me to receive my certificate, photo and voucher?
These will be dispatched within 28 days receipt of your registration details.
Can I visit the elephants?
This gift enables you to adopt an elephant in association with Action for the Wild, Colchester Zoos animal conservation charity. The elephant conservation work is carried out in Africa and visiting is not possible. However the elephants at Colchester Zoo are treated as ambassadors to inform visitors about the charity and to help their wild African cousins. By registering this gift you will receive one free ticket to Colchester Zoo. So register now, wait for your free ticket and then visit the elephants at Colchester Zoo.
How do I use my discount voucher?
Once you have registered your gift, you will also receive a discount voucher entitling you to 5% off the cost of a Behind the Scenes Experience at Colchester Zoo. The discount applies to Experiences costing £95 or more. The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of registration. Further details will be sent to you once you have registered this gift.
